The Montreal Knit is a long-standing Olga de Polga favourite, loved for its cloud-soft feel and effortless wearability. Crafted in a luxurious angora blend, this sweater delivers lightweight warmth with a beautifully fuzzy finish that feels as good as it looks.
Designed with a relaxed, boxy fit and dropped shoulders, the Montreal drapes softly through the body for an easy, comfortable silhouette. Finished with a classic round neckline and ribbed trims, it’s the kind of knit you’ll reach for on repeat when the temperature drops.
As with all angora blends, some shedding is natural. This settles with wear and is part of what gives the knit its signature softness and texture.

Angora is a natural fibre produced from the downy coat of the Angora rabbit. It is prized for its exceptional softness, lightweight warmth, and distinctive halo-like finish.
The fibres used in our Montreal knit are fine and short, with a hollow core. This structure is what gives the knit its signature fluffy appearance and insulating warmth without heaviness. Because angora fibres have little natural elasticity, our sweaters are blended with acrylic to help the garment retain its shape and structure over time.
We use shorter, shorn fibres rather than longer plucked fibres. Shearing is a cruelty-free process and allows the rabbit’s coat to regrow naturally. While shorter fibres are more prone to shedding, this is a natural and expected characteristic of authentic angora and part of what gives the fabric its beautiful texture.

Care Information
Angora is a delicate fibre and should be treated gently to maintain its softness and shape.
Some shedding is natural, particularly when the garment is new. With regular wear, the fibres will settle and shedding will reduce over time.
How to Minimise Shedding
Wear it regularly
Friction from wear helps fibres relax and settle naturally.Pair with low-static fabrics
Angora fibres are less likely to cling to denim, polyester, and similar fabrics.Avoid dry air
Dry environments can increase static, which encourages shedding. Using a humidifier or lightly steaming the garment before wear can help reduce static buildup.Wash only when necessary
Angora does not need frequent washing. Over-washing can weaken the fibres and shorten the life of the garment. Wash only if visibly dirty or if odour is present.Garment Care Instructions
